SIMPLEWOOD FEATURE : SKATEBOARDING
ANyway. As I was saying, the mind controls your every skateboarding move. Is most people, yourm ind overpowers you. You see a gap you wnat to jump. You're sure you can clear it, but in the back of your head your mind calls out to you "Oi bitch, don't try it. It's madness! You'll kill us both!". You fight it, but in the end you give up at the precise moment you're about to ollie. "FUCK YOU MIND!".
Does this happen to you sometimes? It sure as hell happens to me. SO, i've devised a plan to beat this. Kill yourself. NO, don't grab the gun. Seriously now, here's what i think-
1. Work on your mind controls. Don't try Russian Roulette like Derren Brown, but work on staying committed, even on small things like 3-step ollies.
2. When you are psyched baout tyring something, don't let your mind play with you. BLock it out, kick it's ass, it is not wanted in this aspect of skating. Don't think it own't help youo n the landing. it's stupid, it iwll just keep ocming back to you, heh.
3. Whatever you do, don't bail half way through a trick. it will only end in tears, seriously! Happened to me a few days ago, now i have a knee blue with bruises.
4. Be motivated. Motivate yourself in whichever way you feel. Self harm, energy drinks, whatever's your cup of tea. Just be prepared, and treat every trick like it's your last.(Unless it's a HUGE, really high roof gap in which case it may well be your last).
5. SPECIAL TIP - keep working on beating your mind. you will find out that if you beat yourm ind and try things, they are not as bad as your evil mind projected to you they would be. Just calm down, and when you're ready to try a specific thing, DON'T BACK OUT! If you do, it will make you even more gaitated, and also you'll look like a twat in front of others.
I hope you have enjoyed this article, and maybe ven learnt from it. Also, if you would liek to hear more of my hilarious jokes potrayed here, just visit 5thFactor, heh.

LOL, I did the same as Sandy 5 minutes before he did, but my mind was more "You're not gonna land this you pussy" and I did and it went "Oh...OK...well, I'm going to sleep now"

Yeah man, what I do when I occasionaly do something big, is to blank out and see myself doing the trick, like, just see and feel exactly how it's gonna happen, then copy it.

Ahh, the mind. Yes it is one of the biggest obstacles in skateboarding. The problem is, your mind is a pussy... you must train it to enjoy skateboarding. I usually find if I don't think about a certain trick I will have a better likely hood of landing it... this way if you don't think then there are no chances of bad vibes eh.
